The Special Police Establishment (Repeal) Act, 1974

An Act to repeal the Special Police Establishment Ordinance, 1948. WHEREAS it is expedient to repeal the Special Police Ordinance, 1948 (VIII of 1948); It is hereby enacted as follows:-

Section 1. Short title and commencement

(1) This Act may be called the Special Police Establishment (Repeal) Act, 1974.

(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 17th day of October, 1973.

Section 2. Repeal of Ordinance VIII of 1948

The Special Police Establishment Ordinance, 1948 (VIII of 1948), is hereby repealed.

Section 3. Repeal of Ordinance XX of 1973

The Special Police Establishment (Repeal) Ordinance, 1973 (XX of 1973), is hereby repealed.
