The Appropriation (Railways) Ordinance, 1977

An Ordinance to authorise expenditure of certain sums in respect of Bangladesh Railways from and out of the Consolidated Fund for the services of the period beginning on the first day of July, 1977 and ending on the thirtieth day of June, 1978. WHEREAS it is expedient to authorise expenditure of certain sums in respect of Bangladesh Railways from and out of the Consolidated Fund for the services of the period beginning on the first day of July, 1977 and ending on the thirtieth day of June, 1978; NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of the Proclamations of the 20th August, 1975 and the 8th November, 1975, and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf, the President is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:-

Section 1. Short title

This Ordinance may be called the Appropriation (Railways) Ordinance, 1977.

Section 2. Issue of Taka 96,98,93,000 from and out of the Consolidated Fund for the period beginning on the first day of July, 1977 and ending on the thirtieth day of June, 1978

From and out of the Consolidated Fund there may be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of the Schedule, amounting in the aggregate to the sums of Taka ninety-six crores ninety-eight lakhs and ninety-three thousand towards defraying the several charges which will come in course of payment during the period beginning on the first day of July, 1977, and ending on the thirtieth day of June, 1978, in respect of Bangladesh Railways for the services and purposes specified in column 2 of the Schedule.

Section 3. Appropriation

The sums authorised to be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidated Fund by this Ordinance shall be appropriated in respect of Bangladesh Railways for the services and purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the period specified in section 2.
