An Ordinance to repeal the Industrial Relations (Regulation) Ordinance, 1982. WHEREAS it is expedient to repeal the Industrial Relations (Regulation) Ordinance, 1982 (XXVI of 1982); NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of the Proclamation of the 24th March, 1982, and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf, the President is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:-
Section 1. Short title
This Ordinance may be called the Industrial Relations (Regulation) (Repeal) Ordinance, 1984.
Section 2. Repeal and savings
(1) The Industrial Relations (Regulation) Ordinance, 1982 (XXVI of 1982), hereinafter referred to as the said Ordinance, is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal -
Provided that if any other registered trade union in such establishment or group of establishments, by an application addressed to the Registrar of Trade Unions, objects to such continuance, a new collective bargaining agent shall be determined under the Industrial Relations Ordinance, 1969 (XXIII of 1969), within six months of such objection;
